EAC Network is looking for a part time Coordinator for its Senior Health Promotion program in Nassau County. The position is available immediately for up to 17.5 hours (varied schedule).
Work closely with the senior centers and Office for the Aging to identify and implement wellness programs to meet the needs of the community.
Oversee consultants and volunteers who provide health promotion activities, including on site visits to locations throughout Nassau County.
Identify and build community partnerships to increase access for health promotion programs for seniors in Nassau County.
Monitor timesheets, enter participation reports, and distribute monthly schedule confirmations.
Bachelor’s Degree required in Public Health, Psychology, Health Education or a health related field.
Minimum of one year of relevant experience required.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
Knowledge of the basic principles, practices, and techniques of public health education and trends at national, state and community levels.
Ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with community agencies and the public.
Must possess valid NYS driver’s license and have access to vehicle.
