  • Overview

    EAC Network seeks a Forensic Case Manager to work full time Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM for its Bronx Mental Health Diversion Program. The Forensic Case Manager is responsible for court liaison, assessment and referral of mentally ill persons involved in the criminal justice system into appropriate treatment programs, and management of a caseload.


    • Act as liaison to the Criminal and Supreme Courts. Conduct assessment interviews and arrange for client to be placed into appropriate treatment program. Interface with mental health system and drug treatment system. 
    • Investigate and arrange supportive services for clients. 
    • Escort clients to treatment facilities when indicated.
    • Maintain a caseload of mentally ill offenders. 
    • Make appropriate and timely site visits to treatment agencies as required.
    • Conduct drug testing on clients of the Program as needed.
    • Make timely site visits to correctional facilities as required.


    • Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Psychology, Psychology, Criminal Justice or a behavioral science required, and a combination of education and experience in substance abuse and mental health.
    • Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments. 
    • Must have knowledge of local treatment programs.
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Ability to work cooperatively with treatment and mental health systems.
